  1. Passengers are required to fill in the EU Digital Passenger Locator Form available at https://app.euplf.eu/#/ . Queries related to filling in the passenger locator form can be addressed to [email protected] or calling 111 or +356 2132 4086 from a foreign number. Technical/platform queries can be addressed to [email protected] 

  2. For travel to Malta persons aged 12 and above shall present a recognised vaccine certificate showing that a person has taken the full doses of an EMA approved vaccine with full course of vaccination with 14 days after last dose.

  3. The Maltese authorities also accept:

    • recognised  vaccine certificates showing recovery from COVID in the previous six months plus one dose of an EMA approved vaccine, as per the vaccination policy of the issuing country, administered at least 14 days prior to arrival in Malta. Recovery only certificates are not accepted.

    • recognised vaccine certificates which include the primary full schedule with a WHO approved vaccine followed by a booster dose with an EMA approved vaccine.

  4. Malta recognizes the: 
    • MT Vaccine Certificate
    • EU Digital Covid Certificate (Vaccination Certificate) issued by EU, EEA and the verifiable vaccine certificate issued by non-EU countries connected to the EUDCC  ​gateway including Albania, Andorra, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Israel, Moldova, Monaco, Morocco, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Panama, San Marino, Serbia, Singapore, Switzerland, Togo, Turkey, Ukraine and the Vatican City
    • Armenia - COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate issued through the United Information System of Electronic Healthcare in the Republic of Armenia
    • Australia COVID-19 Digital Certificate as verified through Medicare Express Plus App
    • Azerbaijan Vaccination Card
    • Bahrain Coronavirus (Covid-19) Vaccination Certificate
    • Bermuda Ministry of Health Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate

    • Chile Digital VAccination Certificate

    • Saudi Arabia – Vaccine Certificate issued by sehhaty.sa 
    • South Korea - COVID-19 Vaccine Certificate as issued through the COOV App
    • UAE - Al Hosn  vaccine certificate and the Vaccine Certificate issued by the Dubai Health Authorities with a readable QR Code
    • UK NHS COVID Pass – NHS Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination record

    • The Gibraltar, Jersey and Guernsey  vaccination certificate

  5. A child aged 5 – 11 requires a negative PCR test carried out within 72 hours before arriving in Malta.

  6. Children under the age of 5 are exempt from presenting the negative PCR test or a vaccine certificate.

  7. Persons without a recognized vaccine certificate must show evidence of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before arrival. Mandatory 14-day quarantine will apply in line with the Standards for Quarantine for Travellers.

  8. Exemption from quarantine subject to presentation of negative PCR test carried out within 72 hours before arriving in Malta:

    • Pregnancy (evidence from medical doctor needed);
    • Medical reasons (written exemption by the Superintendent for Public Health)
    • Maltese residents who prior to the 14th July were already expected to return to Malta from the countries in the list published by the Superintendent for Public Health

  9. Passengers without a recognized vaccine certificate or negative PCR test shall be denied boarding.
